Right in November 2021 ( Around a year back ), Prateek applied for his US B1/B2 slot 😁

 

Prateek was really enthusiastic that he would finally get to travel to the USA and be a part of so many Startup Conferences. 🧳

 

The aim was to network with Founders, Investors before he starts his venture full-fledged after returning to India 🇮🇳

 

It’s been a year and Prateek fails to get an interview slot for the Visa ❌

 

 

 

 

 

 

Initially, Prateek was very optimistic about getting an interview slot, but as the COVID cases grew, he started to lose all hope of travelling to the US. 🇺🇸

 

1️⃣ Month 1 - No Slots

2️⃣ Month 3 - No Slots

3️⃣ Month 6 - No Slots

4️⃣ Month 9 - You only get slots in 2025. 🤯

 

Prateek was completely devastated since he couldn’t travel to the US and full fill his dream because of these immigration issues. 😓

 

But guess what? That didn’t stop Prateek to keep achieving his dreams ❤️

 

Prateek quits his high-paying job 💰 to build his startup - Shifu Ventures 🐼

Prateek always wanted to be an entrepreneur - and he finally took the plunge of leaving his high-paying job to start his own Venture Studio along with the Co-Founder of Almabase. 🏢

 

A Venture Studio that helps B2B SaaS founders build their startups effectively, be it helping to build their MVPs, executing GTM Strategies or providing capital for various experiments. 🐼

 

While he was not able to travel to the BIG SaaS conferences last year like SaaSTr 2022 (Chicago) or Inbound 2022 by Hubspot (Boston) to network with potential customers and investors - Prateek made sure he did all of it virtually! 💻

 

But now, he wants to travel to the US to meet investors in person to raise over $5M for Shifu Ventures.

Prateek applying for an emergency B1/B2 visa to start meeting investors from Feb 15th, 2023.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prateek has no option but to apply for an Emergency B1/B2 visa under the category of Urgent Business Travel. 🧳

 

If he doesn’t raise the funds from US investors, there will be a major business impact since Shifu wouldn’t be able to accelerate its journey because of immigration problems. 😢
